Ecommerce Accounts Executive

Job Purpose:

Manage and reconcile financial and operational data from E-commerce portals, ensure accurate
accounting entries in SAP, track sales, payouts, and inventory, and support month-end closing

Job Specification:

  • Experience: 1–3 years of Prior experience in E-commerce accounting, Knowledge of
    returns, chargebacks, and settlement cycles
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in commerce / accounting / finance.
  • Background: Experience with E-commerce portals (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.)

Key Responsibilities & Accountability:

  • Download daily/weekly/monthly data from E-commerce portals (Amazon, Flipkart,
    Meesho, Myntra, etc.)
  • Extract and maintain – Sales reports, Payout / settlement reports & Commission, fees,
    returns, and refunds data
  • Reconcile portal sales with bank payouts
  • Verify deductions such as commission, shipping, TCS, GST, penalties, and other charges
  • Identify mismatches and coordinate with portal support for resolution
  • Track inventory movement (sales, returns, damaged, lost items)
  • Reconcile portal inventory with physical stock and SAP records
  • Maintain SKU-wise inventory reports
  • Post sales entries, payout entries, and expense entries in SAP
  • Record GST, TCS, returns, and refunds accurately
  • Maintain proper ledger mapping and documentation
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports for management
  • Support GST filing with accurate sales and TCS data
  • Assist in audits by providing portal reports and reconciliations

Functional Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of SAP (FI module preferred)
  • Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
  • Basic understanding of GST, TCS, and E-commerce accounting
  • Good attention to detail and reconciliation skills
  • Tools – E-commerce Seller Portals, SAP (FI), MS Excel
